"There is Still Time To Plant" |

Borrowing a quote from a friend's recent Facebook post..."Noah? You there? Float by and pick us up!"...well, it's not quite that bad yet, but I think we have all had more than enough rain the past few weeks. At 27 inches above average rainfall for the year, we are ready for some drier weather conditions. Fortunately, now that the rain has let up, there is still time to get those fall flowers planted.
Because of their resilient nature, pansies continue to be the most popular and widely used Fall and Winter annuals for adding bright splashes of color to the landscape. Pansies and Violas (a smaller version of the pansy) come in virtually every color imaginable. They also add life to an assortment of pots on the deck or patio.
Pansies are relatively disease and pest free and will bloom prolifically throughout the winter for your enjoyment. Pansies do best planted while the daytime temperatures are still somewhat warm and the nights are beginning to cool down. This gives them time to develop a strong healthy root system before the cold days of winter set in. Your pansies should bloom all through the winter and brighten your outdoor spaces with hopes of spring to come.
Even though the inclimate weather has hindered many gardening activities, now is the time to make your pansy purchases while selections are still good, and take advantage of the beautiful fall planting conditions.
Visit Sartin Services Lawncare & Nursery today and let one of the knowledgeable sales associates help you brighten up your landscape and containers. And just between us..."The Fertilome Premium Pansy Food makes all the difference!"
